Garan Hale: Works in Wood

It starts in the forest, along riverbanks, in storms and flood-fallen limbs – timber shaped by time, weather and chance. Each piece carries this history forward, not as a flaw to be erased, but a story to be honoured.
Garan Hale works in wood. Using 100% salvaged Australian timbers, he designs and builds furniture and other unique pieces with traditional wooden. His pieces reveal how they are held together through curved laminations, dovetail cleats and morticed joints. Every joint is an invitation to look closer, to see the skill of the hand and the honesty of wood as a material.
Works in wood at Roxy Gallery, will bring together a collection of works that reflect a commitment to circular, ethical craftsmanship, showcasing an intimacy with wood as a material and its relationship with the human form.
